When we first arrived, she and the other two elementary age winners exchanged essays so that they could see what the others had written. As other winners arrived, she wanted to shake their hands and congratulate each one on their efforts. And, although she was admittedly nervous through the reading and subsequent Q & A, I do not believe that she would trade that experience for anything. It was good to meet you on Friday. I am glad we were able to hear some of the contest winners, they was very impressive. I applaud your efforts and that of the committee in creating more awareness about Juneteenth.
